Huge test for us this weekend as we host Eclipse Select from Illinois tomorrow morning.
In talking with Scotty McDoniel (SLSG Girls Program Director and 09 Navy ECNL coach) in St Louis a few weeks back, he mentioned that his girls got spanked by BOTH Eclipse Select teams in an event in August. Eclipse, like SLSG, has 2 teams in the Midwest Conference, Eclipse Select and Eclipse Select North.
We host them both - Eclipse Select this weekend, Eclipse Select North in 2 weeks.
It was a fairly even contest between SLSG Navy and us, so if Scotty said Eclipse spanked them…

Whatever.
To be the best, we need to play the best.
I’m excited to see them play, and to see how our girls are able to compete. I can’t believe that Eclipse would be much better overall than Match Fit Academy (the current bar I have for the best team at our age group), but I guess we’ll see.
